CREATIVITY. COMMUNITY. COLLABORATION.

Whidbey Children's Theater is a non-profit, tuition-based performing arts education program. We offer five to seven productions for youth performers every season as well as classes and workshops. Each production has a different age range and every season has at least two offerings for Grades 3 - 12.

For over 35 years, our audiences have watched youth actors create memories and develop important skills through this unique program. Studies show that theater kids are more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, and spend their leisure time in community service and youth groups. They out-perform their non-arts peers in SATs and GPAs, have better literacy and communication skills, are less likely to miss class or drop out of school, are less likely to use drugs, and more likely to vote!

Our youth become part of a larger community of people who understand and cultivate support, diversity, creativity, acceptance and collaboration. These children grow into adults who bring those traits out into the world, and then, often, right back here to WCT.
