Thank you for helping us set the stage for a healthy and safe theatre environment!

Below, please find our current health and safety policies. Section one includes our guest policies, and section two is geared toward program participants and their families. We welcome questions, by email at contact@wctmagic.org, or by phone at 360-221-8707.

PLEASE NOTE! These protocols and practices may be modified (such as masking status moving from strongly recommended to mandatory) as health conditions change over the course of a season. Current protocols will be noted on this page and observed in practice as they are activated. For your ease and the safety of all who join us here in our spaces, please read the following before you visit or participate:

WCT Guests/Ticket holders:

Thank you for choosing an outing at WCT! Masks are currently welcome but optional for all visitors and guests. As many in our community continue to experience Covid and other seasonal illnesses as a real threat to their health and that of others, WCT encourages all guests and participants to mask or stay home IF they are feeling under the weather or have Covid or another virus that can be spread among populations. Performance and event dates can be found on our FB and instagram feeds or at www.wctmagic.org . Our building is open by appointment or as listed for programming and events. We welcome your feedback!

Participants, Volunteers and Parents/Caregivers:

The magic awaits here at WCT - let’s keep it safe for all! Please use the following guide as you register and prepare yourself and your child for participation in our programs.

MASKING:

Masking is currently welcomed but optional inside our building for all participants. WCT reserves the right to change our policiesand practice at any time during the course of the season based on local, state and federal recommendations or mandates.

VACCINES:

WCT strongly believes that Covid vaccinations and boosters are a necessary element for protection of our participants and adult teams, as well as their families and our community at large. For safety and decision-making purposes, WCT may inquire at anytime about your child’s vaccination status. Please note that as Covid and other illnesses continue to move through our community, certain conditions may make it impossible for non-vaccinated individuals to participate.

EMERGENCY PAPERWORK:

Your participant’s completed emergency paperwork MUST include at least one adult who is located 20 minutes or less from the threatre and is authorized and available for pick up anytime your child or youth is in our building. If a child or youth shows symptoms of illness during their time in our building, they will be supported as necessary to stay comfortably isolated from their peers until a parent or caregiver can pick them up.

IF YOUR CHILD IS ILL:

All kids are exposed at one time or another to viruses - at school, in activities and with friends and family. WCT policies follow those of other child-centered facilities such as schools and day cares: If your child is showing symptoms of a cold, flu, or other virus, or has a fever or gastric distress, please keep them home to rest for at least 24 hours or until their symptoms subside. Please see below for our current Covid specific guidelines:

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CHILD OR SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD(S) IS/ARE EXPOSED TO THE VIRUS OR HAS TESTED POSITIVE:

Since Covid exposures can be asymptomatic, we ask you to let us know as soon as possible that your family has had an exposure. Please test as as recommended by current CDC guidelines (this includes testing on days two and five after exposure,) and remain at home at the onset of any symptoms, even with negative tests. Keeping WCT admin in the loop of any exposure, no matter how insignificant the risk may feel, helps us keep our population from potentially spreading Covid throughout our cohort and into the larger community. Households or individuals who have tested positive for Covid or have Covid symptoms can re-join us in the building after 5-7 days have passed and they have tested negative twice. WCT administration asks that you keep in touch with us about your child’s health throughout so we can guide your family and our staff through the process with as much emotional and physical safety as possible, using the best science available. If there is an exposure risk for your child while they are at WCT, we may be obligated to alert all adults and children/youth who may be at risk of having been exposed.

 CHANGES IN PROTOCOL:

These protocols and practices may change as health conditions change over the course of a season. New or modified protocols will be noted on this page and observed in practice as they are activated.
