Audition Information for Theatre Conservatory for Young Adults 2018, open to students entering grades 9 - 12 in the 2018-2019 schoolyear.
Open to grades 9 - 12 (2017-2018 Schoolyear) or equivalent if homeschooled.
A workshop (part two) for those intending to audition for Theatre Conservatory for Young Adults, diving into the process of Auditioning (in person or on video), and a chance to present the work you've done on your monologues and receive feedback to continue developing your audition pieces.
A workshop (part one) for those intending to audition for Theatre Conservatory for Young Adults, reviewing where/how to find monologues, cutting down monologues for time, etc. Monologue resources will be available and we will discuss what to focus on while you rehearse your monologue(s) in preparation for your audition.

Sarah Ruhl is the 2003 recipient of the Whiting Award for Drama
In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.
Join the CCYA 2016 Team in the Blackbox at WCT on Friday, June 10 from 5 - 7pm for an Open Workshop Audition for this year's program!
Attendees will get to know this year's director, Kylie McKenzie Soder, and hear her vision for the production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. Also get to know Program Coordinator, and ISF Company Member, Valerie Huntington, hear about this year's classes—Stage Combat, Clown, Mask, Voice, Movement, Scene Study—and teachers, and work some theatre exercises!
CCYA is open to ages 15 - 20. Tuition is $500 upon acceptance into the program. Program runs July 25 - August 21. See the full program schedule here.

Please state your name, that you are auditioning for CCYA 2016 and why you are interested in this play/program. Please film with your whole body in the frame, and include the character and play of the monologue you are performing.
Monologue: Actors are asked to prepare a Shakespeare monologue (60 seconds or less) and a short a cappella song. Monologues are not required to be gender-specific or "uncommon." Choose something that you connect with on a deep level. You may also provide examples of musical instruments you play.
