Winter Holiday 2024: Let it Snow!
A flurry of fun, students will learn the basics of acting in a play, including movement,
storytelling, and backstage craft. The week will conclude with a short celebration of
community building for a small group of family and friends.
Monday - Friday, December 30-January 3rd (2nd full week of SWSD Christmas break)

Spring Break 2025: Forest Adventure Camp!
A journey through the woods and onward to adventure! Students will learn the basics of
acting in a play in a woods-themed week of movement, storytelling and designing a
unique celebration for family members to enjoy.
Monday - Friday March 31 - April 4 (SWSD Spring Break)
Tuition: $150
Ages 4-7 years, 10:00 - 12:00. Ages 8-12, 1:00 - 3:00
Beginning Creative Dramatics
Our Beginning Creative Dramatics offering is a delightful romp through the essentials of theater for our youngest actors ages 4 - 7. In this one week camp, we learn about working together as a team and bringing our imaginations to the prefrontal with theater games, intentional movement and song! The class works together to create and perform a unique production for family and friends, building trust, confidence, empathy and other essential life skills along the way. This is a wonderful introduction to the performing arts, and sets the stage so your kiddos can create magic!

Intermediate Creative Dramatics

Beginning Sword Skills
Students will be introduced to the basics of sword skills; safe practice, techniques, and drills. Each class will include learning new material and practicing drills to strengthen safety and technique for use on stage. Suitable for all beginners, those who have taken 3 or fewer sword skill classes at WCT, as well as more experienced students who want a basic refresher. More experienced beginners will get good practice time and also opportunity to mentor newer students. Instructor may suggest alternate class for some students.

Intermediate to Advanced Sword Skills
Students who have completed 3 or more sword classes at WCT will hone their existing knowledge, strengthen skills, and learn some new drills and choreography for use on stage. Must have completed at least 3 sword classes at WCT to participate in this level. All participants can opt to remain for an additional 30 minutes of supervised drill and practice. Instructor may suggest alternate class for some students.
Ages 13 - 19
Camp Schedule: June 26-30,
Camp Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm*

Class size: Min. 4 – Max. 16
*with an option for 30 minutes supervised drilling/practice afterwards
Beginning Unarmed Combat
Students will be introduced to the basics of unarmed combat; safe practice, techniques, and drills. Each class will include learning and practicing new material to strengthen safety and techniques for use on stage. Suitable for all beginners, more experienced students who want a basic refresher and for those who who have taken less than 4 stage combat classes at WCT. More experienced beginners will get good practice time and also opportunity to mentor newer students. Instructor may suggest alternate class for some students.
Ages 10 - 19
Class Schedule: July 5-7, 3-4pm, July 8 10:30-Noon

Class size: Min. 4 – Max. 12
Unarmed Combat – Intermediate to Advanced Levels
Students who have completed 3 or more unarmed combat classes at WCT will hone their existing knowledge, strengthen skills, and learn new drills and choreography for use on stage. Must have completed at least 3 unarmed combat classes at WCT to participate at this level. All participants can opt to remain for an additional 30 minutes of supervised drill and practice. Instructor may suggest alternate class for some students.

Katie Kammerer
This is Katie’s first year teaching at WCT and she is so grateful to be a part of such an incredible company! Her previous credits include being the Production Stage Manager at the Ashland New Plays Festival, and Production Stage Manager at Island Shakespeare Festival (Hamlet, Jane Eyre). Katie was the music teacher at Inspire Learning in Bend and most recently taught K-5 students in an after school stem program. Teaching theatre has always been her dream job and she is overjoyed to be a party of the WCT experience.

WCT keeps a Wait List after classes fill in case we can add another round of classes so make sure add your name if you’re interested in future offerings of the class!
